pr and intercultural presentation

We decided as a group that we wanted to do a campaign to promote the protection of Dolphins to the Japanese. As a western audience it is extremely hard to imagine how any one could brutally kill dolphins just because they are regarded as pests. We all thought that this idea would allow us to use the information that we have learnt throughout this module to create a campaign that would show how PR professionals overcome the many cultural barriers which are apparent when undertaking PR overseas.

My role in this assignment is to work on the actual campaign. Me and Cate will be both working together to come up with the overall campaign idea and the outputs that we will use.

Firstly we have decided to look into previous successful charity and conservation campaigns in order to gain information about what works and what fails in this particular sector of PR. Once we feel we have a substantial amount of research we will begin the campaign process.
